Job Description

Job Title: Director of Finance

Job Summary:

Harris Leadership Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Director of Finance will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and direction of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans and forecasts to ensure the organization's financial goals are met.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the CEO and Board of Directors, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial management of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Financial Systems: Develop and implement financial systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Financial Leadership: Provide financial leadership and guidance to the accounting team, including training and development.
  • Financial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks to the organization.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or relevant discipline.
  • Experience: 7 years experience in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior financial leadership role.
  • Skills: Strong financial planning and analysis skills, with the ability to develop and implement financial plans and forecasts. Excellent financial reporting and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team of financial professionals.
