Director of Construction

Highpoint Developments Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the formation of our construction division and drive it towards success. As Director of Construction, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team, overseeing project execution, and ensuring alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and lead a high-performing construction team, overseeing hiring, training, and development.
  • Be hands-on in project execution, ensuring quality standards, safety regulations, and owner expectations are met.
  • Develop and implement construction strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize project delivery.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities, working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive leadership and management experience (minimum 15 years) in design and construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS & Google Suite.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical business practices.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Preference for candidates with pre-existing relationships with reputable contractors and sub-trades.
