Kwantlen Polytechnic University seeks a Director of Accounting and Systems to provide leadership and strategic direction to the Accounting Services and Financial Systems teams.
The successful candidate will oversee accounting services, including cash management, banking, accounts receivable, collections, and accounts payable for the institution. They will also be responsible for maintaining and developing integrated financial information systems, and providing training to finance and related staff on these systems used by the University and the KPU Foundation.
This role requires a strong background in general accounting, budgeting, reporting, systems, audit, with at least 7 years of progressive senior experience in the public sector. A minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity is also required. Experience in the post-secondary education system or in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
