Job Summary

Purolator is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting functional budgeting and forecasting activities, as well as month-end reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly analysis on forecast and plan variances, providing financial expertise and insights to support monthly results.
  • Track performance against budget, prior year, and forecast, identifying variances to actual results and understanding expense drivers.
  • Generate analytics on performance, identifying problems and initiating process improvement suggestions, and provide financial and business-related analysis to assess the impact of projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare and coordinate annual operating budgets for assigned Operations functions, and prepare periodic forecasts to set baseline for the following year's budget.
  • Assist with the preparation of functional budget and forecast-related presentations, and provide dedicated decision support to assigned Operations business leads and functions.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial planning and analysis experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with scenario planning and modeling, and high degree of familiarity with standard financial statements and reports.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is an asset.
