The successful candidate can expect an hourly rate of $35.87 - $43.82, with the opportunity for pay adjustments upon entering the register of Registered Nurses.

Job Description

As a Home Care Nursing Professional, you will work closely with a dynamic and supportive team to provide high-quality nursing services to patients and their families in their homes. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Directing the care of clients under the home care program
  • Assessing client needs and coordinating care planning
  • Providing wound care and palliative support
  • Teaching and counseling clients and their families

You will be responsible for utilizing your strong assessment, organizational, and leadership skills to ensure that clients receive timely and appropriate referrals and direct care as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in home care nursing within the last 5 years
  • Current registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and adaptability skills

In addition, we require that you have experience with Meditech, Service Authorizations, RAI-HC, Netcare, and AADLs, as well as knowledge of wound care principles and products.

Location and Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, which offers a small-town feel with big-city amenities. You will be required to visit clients' homes, which may involve physical exertion and climbing stairs.
