Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Post Office Assistant to join our team at Canada Post Corp. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Customer Service: Sell postal products and services to businesses and individuals, providing expert advice and guidance to meet their needs.
  • Mail and Package Processing: Sort, distribute, and process mail and packages into appropriate classifications, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Customer Support: Provide customers with information and forms, address delivery and service difficulties, and resolve problems thoroughly and quickly.
Requirements
  • Education: High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration.
  • Experience: Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
  • Skills: Understanding of general or post office accounting systems, physical fitness to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Availability: Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work.
