We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Credit Risk Manager to join our team at Alterna Savings. Key Responsibilities- Manage Credit Risk Program: Develop and implement strategies to assess and manage commercial credit risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Develop and Maintain Policies: Create, update, and maintain policies and procedures related to commercial credit risk, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and the Credit Risk Management Committee.
- Provide Leadership and Guidance: Lead and guide commercial lenders and management teams in assessing and managing commercial credit risk, ensuring a balanced approach to risk and reward.
- Monitor and Report: Monitor commercial credit portfolio risk indicators, trends, and migration, generating reports for the Senior Management and Board Committees.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Commercial Services management, Credit Operations, Business Management Office, Collections, Branch units, Audit, Organizational Development, and Marketing departments to manage the risk and credit quality of the commercial credit portfolio.
- Education and Experience: University degree in a business-related field with relevant work experience, preferably with a professional designation or advanced study.
- Risk Analysis and Credit Granting Experience: Minimum 5 years of risk analysis and commercial credit granting experience at a senior level, with 5-10 years of progressive business and management responsibilities.
- Direct Commercial Lending Experience: Direct commercial lending applications, account management, and underwriting risk experience are definite assets.
