About the Role:

We seek a skilled Data Center Technician to work under the Operations Manager, focusing on monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the physical compute infrastructure within our data center. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of server hardware, network devices, and data center architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor server racks, network devices, and other compute infrastructure for performance, utilization, and issues
  • Perform regular maintenance on servers, storage, and network devices according to standard procedures
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on servers, switches, routers, and other compute infrastructure
  • Assist with hardware installations, upgrades, migrations, and other projects
  • Document configuration changes, maintenance performed, and other relevant information
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware maintenance, and support contracts
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record in IT, computer science, or related fields, with hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of compute infrastructure. A strong understanding of Linux is essential, and familiarity with monitoring tools, remote management, and automation frameworks is desirable.
