Job Description

Hunter Express Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

  • This position involves maintaining, troubleshooting and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Evaluating and installing computer hardware, networking software and operating system software are also key responsibilities.
  • The successful candidate will provide problem-solving services to network users, implement data, software and hardware security procedures and perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records.
  • Data backups and disaster recovery operations will also be performed on a regular basis.
  • This role will also involve setting up local area networks and connections to the Internet, implementing network traffic and security monitoring software and optimizing server performance.
  • In addition, the Network Infrastructure Specialist will modify Web pages, applets and scripts, research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines.
  • Responding to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers is another important aspect of this role.
  • The successful candidate will also perform Web-server backup and recovery operations and supervise technical staff.

Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to distinguish between colours.

The combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and kneeling are also part of the job.

  • A high level of accuracy is required for this role.
  • Excellent written communication skills are essential.
  • The successful candidate must be organized and dedicated to their work.

Experience:

  • We are looking for someone with 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • This position is permanent and requires working 35 hours per week.
  • The working language is English.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
