About the Role

F & F CONSTRUCTION INC. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction personnel, including laborers, carpenters, and other tradespeople.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards, and that any defects or issues are promptly addressed.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential safety risks on site, and ensure that all personnel are aware of and comply with safety protocols.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of construction personnel, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a construction supervisory role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, noisy, at heights, dusty, and hot.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate, residential, various locations, rural area, high-rise building construction sites, construction site, and urban area.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Hand Tools: Proficient in the use of hand tools, including chippers, concrete saws, and nail guns.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Experienced in operating forklifts, grinding machines, and other construction equipment.
  • Industry Experience: Pipelines and poured concrete.
  • Construction Specialization: Industrial, commercial, and institutional, and roofing.
  • Transportation/Travel: Own transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, sound discrimination, sitting, and tight deadlines.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Safety glasses/goggles, tools, safety vest, and gloves.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player, flexibility, accurate, dependability, and hardworking.
