Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Humble Wellness Clinic Inc. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the assessment and treatment of patients with various injuries or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer evaluative tests to assess patients' physical abilities
  • Assist health care professionals in the assessment and treatment of patients
  • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists
  • Follow through on treatment programs with patients and maintain prescription records
  • Supervise technical and support staff, clean and maintain equipment, and assist chiropractor with patient health education
  • Plan physiotherapy programs, process claims, collect statistics, and connect treatment machines to patients as directed by chiropractor
  • Assist chiropractor with physical examinations, conduct research in physiotherapy, process files and paperwork, and order supplies and equipment
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, punctuality, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to distinguish between colours, sound discrimination, and attention to detail
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a medical clinic setting, assisting physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the assessment and treatment of patients. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
