We are seeking a skilled Fashion Design Pattern Maker to join our team at Chikito Designs Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative textile solutions using your expertise in pattern making.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background and relevant work experience in fashion design and pattern making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop patterns for various textile products, including garments, accessories, and home furnishings.
  • Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure seamless execution of designs.
  • Lay out and cut master patterns, as well as create size variations from master patterns using computer-aided design (CAD) software or traditional drafting instruments.
  • Estimate fabric requirements for each project and assess the quality of materials.
  • Work closely with our production team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate in a related field, such as fashion design or textiles.
  • A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in fashion design and pattern making.
  • Excellent knowledge of pattern making principles, textile science, and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
