Job Description

We are seeking a Dining Room Attendant to join our team at Hariyali Express Indian Cuisine & Bar.

About the Role

The Dining Room Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring that our dining areas are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customers' needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all dining areas, including tables, chairs, and floors, are clean and well-maintained throughout their shift.
  • Restock supplies and linens as needed to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Operate dishwashers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Package take-out food and prepare simple food items as needed.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, taking orders and handling payments when necessary.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, rotating stock as needed to ensure freshness.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and assist with cleaning and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
Requirements:
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues effectively.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds, with frequent bending and stooping.
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required; experience an asset.
  • Permanent position with 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to meet business needs.
  • Language of work: English.
Compensation and Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and paid time off.
