Job Title: Truck Trailer Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Universal Truck and Trailer. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of commercial transport trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
Requirements:
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification
  • 5 years or more of experience in the field
