Job Title: Truck Trailer Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Universal Truck and Trailer. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on truck and trailer systems, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, working closely with our team of experienced technicians.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize fleet performance.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 5 years or more of experience in a related field, preferably in a commercial transport setting.
  • Strong knowledge of truck and trailer systems, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
  • Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification.
  • Experience with diesel engines, electrical and electronic systems, and hydraulic systems.
