About the Role

Spectrum Society for Community Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with their daily needs, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care, including transfers using a ceiling lift and feeding tube management
  • Accompany the individual to appointments and activities
  • Support the individual in developing and maintaining their daily routines
  • Communicate effectively with the individual using a pictorial book and non-verbal cues

Requirements

  • Driver's license (Class 4)
  • Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)
  • Ability to motivate, encourage, and engage the interests of others
  • Experience supporting individuals with anxiety or other complex needs
