We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at A&R Plumbing & Mechanical Service Inc. as an Installation and Maintenance Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for plumbing services, taking into account customer requirements and project specifications.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors, ensuring accurate placement and minimal disruption.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment, ensuring secure and leak-free connections.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing, taking into account factors such as water pressure, flow rate, and pipe material.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size, using precision tools and techniques.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in plumbing installation and maintenance.
  • Permanent employment with a reputable company.
  • 37.5 hours per week of work, with occasional overtime as required.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
