Commercial Analyst Role

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Analyst to support our Envision Financial team at our Langley, BC branch. This trainee role is designed for future commercial sales/lending roles, with a focus on developing analytical and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, identifying potential issues and researching industry reports to inform credit applications.
  • Loan Review/Security: Review loan applications and security documents to ensure accuracy and completeness, working with credit services to resolve delinquency issues.
  • Loans Origination Process: Complete required paperwork for new credit applications, ensuring all supporting documentation is in place and forwarding to commercial experts for review and approval.
  • Risk Management: Conduct annual reviews of commercial accounts, ensuring all terms and conditions are satisfied, including site visits when required.
  • Sales and Service: Identify cross-selling opportunities, address member/client complaints, and establish relationships within the branch network and business community.
Requirements
  • College, Trade, or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in a related field required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline preferred
  • 2 years sales and financial analysis experience or equivalent required
  • Previous knowledge of lending policies, procedures, products, and services preferred
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory requirements influencing commercial credit preferred
  • Proven knowledge and skills in financial statement analysis and credit risk management
  • Proven ability to manage change and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Strong work ethic and resourcefulness in daily activities
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Excel and Word

Pay Transparency: Salary Range: $55,200 - $70,700. First West is committed to providing a fair, equitable, and competitive rewards package reflecting an individual's value to the organization.
