Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Robotics Software Developer to join our team of experts in San Francisco and Toronto. As a Senior Robotics Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions for our robotic systems, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software solutions for our robotic systems, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including robotics engineers, data scientists, and logistics experts, to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
- Develop and maintain high-quality software code, following industry best practices and standards.
- Contribute to the development of new technologies and innovations, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence.
- Work closely with the robotics team to ensure that software solutions meet the requirements of our robotic systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and technical guides.
- Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of software solutions.
- Develop and maintain test cases, ensuring that software solutions meet the required quality standards.
- Contribute to the development of new features and functionalities, working closely with the product management team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on robotics and artificial intelligence.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with programming languages such as Golang, Python, and C++.
- Strong understanding of robotics and artificial intelligence concepts, including computer vision, machine learning, and sensor integration.
- Experience with Linux environments and containerization.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with control systems, real-time systems, distributed systems, machine vision, machine learning, robotic manipulation, material handling, industrial automation, physical or discrete event simulation, applied statistics and design of experiments, or data visualization.
