About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Prepress Technician to join our team at Planet Press Ltd. As a Prepress Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our printed materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Computerized Equipment: You will be responsible for operating computerized equipment to prepare film, laser, or dylux proofs for quality control purposes or for customers' review.
  • Colour Separations and Corrections: You will make colour separations and corrections from colour copy or transparencies, ensuring that the final product meets our high standards.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: You will operate, monitor, maintain, calibrate, and test equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Quality Control: You will ensure that the quality of products meets established standards, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
Requirements
  • Education: You must have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: You must have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: You must have strong technical skills, including proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Personal Qualities: You must be accurate, client-focused, dependable, and a team player.
Work Environment

You will be working in a commercial or in-house printing environment, which may be noisy and have odours. You must be willing to relocate for this position.
