Job Description

We are seeking a talented Disability Case Manager to join our team at The Canada Life Assurance Company. As a key member of our client service team, you will play a vital role in proactively managing assigned disability claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate medical information and job duties to determine the length of disability.
  • Conduct medical investigations by phone or in writing to gather information and assess the extent of the disability.
  • Implement return-to-work programs and coordinate with employers.
  • Coordinate health care and rehabilitation programs to ensure employability goals are met.
Requirements:
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required.
  • Experience or training in health and wellness, disability and life or health insurance, injury claims, or customer service is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills in a client-facing environment.
  • Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Solution-oriented and strong decision-making skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Tech savvy and adaptable with new programs and systems.
