ETL Developer – Data Analytics

Job Summary:

The Data Analytics team at CB Canada is seeking an experienced ETL Developer to join our team. As an ETL Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing complex data transformations to support business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop ETL processes using IBM InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage to load target databases from source systems.
  • Collaborate with Data Architects to understand business requirements and technical specifications, and translate them into ETL code.
  • Participate in design review sessions, code reviews, and Agile team meetings to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop test scenarios and perform in-depth unit tests, including end-user reviews, to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Define ETL job sequences and dependencies, including error logging and restart processes, and develop ETL run books to ensure efficient data processing.
  • Work on technical debt projects and with the Assessment team to ensure timely completion of intakes for ERP, NGTT, and Towers, and secure funding for Product Teams on Data Analytics.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant ETL/DI experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage.
  • 3+ years of development experience with database technologies, including 1+ year of experience with data warehousing methodologies.
  • Teradata experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
  • Familiarity with JIRA.

Duration: 9 months

Location: Ottawa/Toronto – remote/hybrid environment
