Job Summary

Sunrise Farms is a leading poultry industry company with a strong focus on quality and innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor to transport goods within our production facility and throughout the Lower Mainland, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Navigate routes, perform basic vehicle maintenance, and adhere to commercial driving requirements and safety regulations.
  • Perform power jack and warehouse duties as required.
  • Clean and wash trucks and trailers.
  • Handle invoices and related paperwork meticulously, adhering to HACCP and GMP standards.
  • Accurately document shipments and receipts.
  • Properly set up truck runs.
  • Load trucks safely and in an orderly manner according to route.
  • Ensure loads are secured and on schedule.
  • Communicate effectively with managers to resolve issues.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Clean driver abstract: no penalty points in the current year, no more than 4 points in the previous year, and no 24-hour suspensions in the past 5 years.
  • Knowledge of the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written) with legible handwriting.
  • Physical ability to load trucks.
  • Successful completion of pre and post-trip inspections and road tests.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
