About the Role

Grove Cedar Limited is seeking a skilled Wood Processing Labourer to join our team. As a Wood Processing Labourer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wood processing machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines to ensure efficient wood processing.
  • Wood Product Handling: Sort, pile, and transport wood products to the correct storage areas.
  • Scrap Removal: Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing to minimize waste.
  • Cleanliness: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Work Environment

As a Wood Processing Labourer, you will be working in a fast-paced wood processing environment. You will be required to:

  • Handle Heavy Loads: Lift and move heavy wood products and machinery parts.
  • Work in a Physically Demanding Role: Be able to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Work in a Combination of Environments: Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
