About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Construction Assistant at Hayer Demolition Ltd. As a key member of our site operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Pre-Operational Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-operational inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition, reducing the risk of accidents and downtime.
  • Site Operations: Assist in the demolition of buildings, clean and pile salvaged materials, and remove rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Machinery Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are operated safely and efficiently.
  • Site Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites, maintaining a safe and controlled environment for workers and the public.
Work Environment

As a Construction Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to work outdoors in various locations, including construction sites, and may be exposed to noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Schedule: Work a standard 40-hour week, with flexibility to work overtime as required.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
