Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join our dynamic team at Woodfibre Management Ltd. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and support to our business operations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial and natural resource-related law, with a focus on regulatory matters, environmental compliance, and contract negotiation. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to develop practical and risk-balanced solutions to complex legal issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to our business operations, including regulatory matters, environmental compliance, and contract negotiation.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and prioritize legal and commercial issues, and develop practical solutions.
  • Prepare and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • At least 7+ years' experience in commercial and natural resource-related law in British Columbia or Alberta.
  • Canadian law degree and current membership (or willingness to obtain membership) in the law society of British Columbia or Alberta.
