The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatic Supervisor Student to join our team. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our aquatic facilities and programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of students in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Implement and maintain aquatic programs and services
- Assist in the delivery of staff training and evaluation
- Manage and maintain a team environment with staff, providing education and leadership
- Guard swims with an emphasis on incident prevention
- Provide instruction of Lifesaving Society Swim for Life program, Aqua Fitness
- Ensure all lifesaving equipment is maintained and available
- Perform high-level first aid and rescue techniques
- Follow policies and procedures in the CKRec Aquatic Manual
- Maintain a positive image with the public
- Assist with handling concerns from patrons and parents
- Previous experience in a pool setting and leadership role
- Standard First Aid with CPR 'C' certification
- LSSC National Lifeguard – Pool or Red Cross Pool Lifeguard certification
- High Five: Principles of Healthy Child Development certification
