Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our Federal Business Unit. As a Project Scheduler, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio for our Eastern Ontario team and demonstrate your scheduling knowledge and technical expertise to transform project performance using various project control tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop master schedules for large-scale, complex projects working with various stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Provide critical, decision-making information to clients, equipping them with the visibility of project outcomes and increasing the certainty of success.
  • Represent clients' best interests regarding the development, monitoring, and control of project schedules.
  • Apply Earned Value Analysis methodology and various project control tools to address clients' stated and implied needs.
  • Transform project performance information into project schedule progress reports and dashboards, including comprehensive analysis of project schedule performance, KPIs, schedule forecasts, and risks, and recommended actions.
  • Manage change, communicate, and coordinate between multiple stakeholders, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and on budget.

Qualifications

  • A university or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience).
  • At least 5+ years of experience in project controls management, specializing in project and program planning/scheduling.
  • Proven experience in monitoring and driving project schedule performance.
  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models, financial management, and construction estimating methodologies.
  • Proficiency in setting up and working with Project Management Information Systems/Project Controls Software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Unifier, or others).
  • Comprehensive understanding and practical skills in the development and management of Work Breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure, schedule and cost baselines, earned value analysis, risk management, and change management processes.
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, PMI-SP, CET, Registered Architect, or other similar industry-recognized designations are considered a strong asset.
  • A positive attitude, professional curiosity, and the ability to collaborate with local and regional teams.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project, and technical issues.
  • Reliability and Secret clearance with the Federal Government would be desired.
