Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Firehouse Subs. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Payroll Preparation: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to provide insights into our company's financial performance.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
