Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ultrasound Technologist to join our Diagnostic Services team at Queensway Carleton Hospital. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, including explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly
- Conduct ultrasound examinations, taking into account patient comfort and safety
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results
Requirements:
- Current certification as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
