Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Queensway Carleton Hospital. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, including explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly.
  • Conduct ultrasound examinations, taking note of any abnormalities or areas of concern.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, examination results, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Registration with the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (CSDMS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ultrasound imaging, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
