Lead the Way in Theatre Excellence

We are seeking an exceptional theatre executive director to join our team at Western Canada Theatre. As a co-leader, you will play a vital role in shaping the company's future success and implementing a bold vision for growth.

The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative leadership skills, with a proven track record of building positive relationships with staff, artists, board members, audiences, donors, and community members. You will be a champion of equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism, with a talent for inspiring and motivating others.

In this dynamic role, you will oversee organizational finances, business development, facility management, and the Kamloops Live Box Office. You will work closely with the Board of Directors and WCT staff to develop and implement policies and procedures that drive excellence and mitigate risk.

You will also lead fundraising efforts, generating new revenue streams and partnerships to support WCT's mission. Your expertise in digital and social media marketing will help promote the company's brand and increase awareness among diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage administrative and business operations
  • Oversee organizational finances, business development, and facility management
  • Develop and foster fiscal, operational, and administrative excellence
  • Build relationships with government agencies, corporate sponsors, and local stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in a producing theatre organization or complex organization
  • Experience in theatre facilities management is an asset
  • Proven success in fundraising, including individual giving, foundations, corporate sponsorships, and government funding
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity
  • Talent for managing and leading teams, with a focus on skill building and coaching
