We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant, Project Management - Accessibility to join our team at IWK Health Centre. As a key member of our Facilities, Redevelopment & Protection Portfolio, you will be responsible for the overall management, direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of portfolio projects, ensuring consistency with the strategy and following the implementation of Accessibility plan goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in leading strategic and/or performance improvement related projects. A minimum of three years' experience in a related field is required, with a degree in Health Services Administration, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering. The Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification is an asset, or willingness to complete the course.
The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills, with experience in Capital Re-development/Capital Equipment, Construction Management, and Technology. Knowledge and insight of accessibility barriers, as well as lived experience, are essential. The ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate portfolio projects, ensuring consistency with the strategy and following the implementation of Accessibility plan goals.
- Lead strategic and/or performance improvement related projects, with a minimum of three years' experience in a related field.
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets, with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusivity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including project team members, vendors, and clients, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively and meeting deadlines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, clients, and vendors.
- Provide regular project updates, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum three years' experience leading strategic and/or performance improvement related projects.
