We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Cyber Technology Service Operations team within RBC's Global Cyber Security. As Senior Manager, Network Security Operations, you will be responsible for providing active support to a team delivering superior levels of organizational and technical expertise for the successful implementation, maintenance, and support of RBC's critical global security infrastructure platforms and services.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to network security event and incident escalations from first-level support Network Operations, internal/external clients, and business partners.
- Perform root cause analysis with vendor engineers and escalation teams for incidents and problems, along with implementing permanent solutions.
- Responsible for planning and executing software code upgrades, including patch management, to maintain Technology Currency.
- Execution of network and security infrastructure configuration changes across the global enterprise to adhere to technical security standards and resolve vulnerabilities.
- Creating and continuously improving support/process documentation.
- Security lead for Planned activities such as Disaster Recovery exercise, power maintenance activities, and major network changes.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to review and understand new technologies.
- Provide technical requirements and validate functionality in the lab before production implementation.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for automation of repetitive tasks.
- Strong experience working with one or more of the following network and security appliances/vendors: CheckPoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Pulse Secure, Citrix, SSLv, Cisco Firepower, Blue Coat ProxySG, FireEye, Arbor, Akamai.
- Excellent understanding of networking in an enterprise or complex environment, understanding TCP/IP, including packet inspection/protocol analysis using packet analyzers for troubleshooting is highly desired.
- Good understanding of key protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP, Telnet, SSL, NAT, IPSEC, etc.
- Excellent understanding of the OSI model.
