Job Title: Process Engineer

About the Role:

TWD is a leading organization in the oil and gas industry, with expertise ranging from refinery, pipelines, terminalling and blending, renewables, food and beverage, power, and more. We are currently seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Edmonton or Calgary, AB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Firebag operations contact engineers with MOC work
  • Work with a team of engineers and other professionals on a wide range of projects
  • Perform work primarily in the process discipline, with support and assistance to other disciplines as needed
  • Develop process calculations, process equipment/piping sizing and specification, and guidelines for the handling of dangerous chemicals
  • Establish quality control programs, operating procedures, and control strategies to ensure consistency and adherence to standards
  • Develop scoping studies, design basis memorandums, and participate in engineering design specifications and detail engineering
  • Provide internal "Safe Design" checks on project packages and assist in the ongoing development of TWD internal systems to improve quality and efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years experience
  • Chemical Engineering degree with P.Eng. designation for Alberta
  • SAGD experience
  • Previous experience with Suncor is preferable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a range of personalities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
