Design and Develop Automation Solutions

At TEEMA, we're seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing and developing new automation solutions leveraging our platform infrastructure and tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automation solutions using Node.js and cloud-native environments
  • Improve monitoring, observability, and alerting for backend services
  • Ensure security is always considered first to protect customer data
  • Contribute to our Dashboard Core Services product roadmap

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of direct relevant experience in software development using Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript) or similar languages
  • Working knowledge of systems that are highly-reliable, maintainable, and scalable
  • General infrastructure knowledge (CLI, SSH, scheduling, etc.)
  • Ability to deliver work incrementally to get feedback and iterate over solutions
  • Strong attitude to the team: ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working on a fully-distributed team
  • Familiarity with good engineering practices and testing

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong Node.js skills with proficiency in TypeScript and vanilla JavaScript
  • Backend focus with familiarity with full-stack environments
  • Cloud platforms: AWS (primary) and Azure
  • Containerization: experience with Kubernetes and containerized platforms
  • Data stores: experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB
  • Infrastructure knowledge: general knowledge of cloud-native environments and CLI tools
  • Testing frameworks: any Node.js testing framework
  • Linux proficiency: comfort with Linux shell commands
