Norfolk General Hospital is seeking two full-time Medical Laboratory Technologists to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

We are looking for dedicated professionals who share our commitment to patient care and excellence in laboratory services. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Norfolk General Hospital, you will be responsible for:

  • Determining and distinguishing between normal and abnormal laboratory test results
  • Ensuring effective operation of analyzers and other laboratory equipment
  • FOLLOWING quality control measures for laboratory
  • Performing all assigned duties in compliance with laboratory quality management system
  • Adhering to NGH health and safety policies, procedures, and provisions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Licensure to perform hematology, biochemistry, and transfusion medicine
  • Recent experience in a multidisciplinary laboratory environment
  • Experience using a laboratory information system (Meditech preferred)
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
