Job Title: French Language Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced French Language Educator to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc.

Job Summary:

The French Language Educator will be responsible for teaching French language skills to students of various ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in French language and culture, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach French language skills to students in a small group setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in French language or a related field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • French Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 4-12 French core curriculum
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 4 to 12 level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong French skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position working during after-school and evening hours (4:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as some Saturdays (10:00am - 2:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better.
