The Dr. Johnson Laboratory, in the Department of Cellular & Physiological Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, at the University of British Columbia, is seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant/Technician 2 to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in experiments and research activities, including performing genotyping, tissue sectioning, microscopy, assays, and islet picking.
- Attend lab meetings and participate in discussions.
- Perform other tasks aligned with the qualifications and requirements of positions in this classification.
- May receive animal care training.
Requirements:
- High school graduation, some additional training in a related field, and a minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Undergraduate degree in a related discipline preferred.
