About the Role

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Maintenance of site equipment
  • Carrying out preventative and predictive maintenance inspections and repairs on all plumbing-related equipment within your designated area
  • Performing daily assigned tasks
  • Managing through unexpected breakdowns
  • Providing support in identifying and preventing future downtime events
  • Collaborating with site personnel to minimize downtime, improve safety and quality
Requirements

To excel in this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a current, valid journeyman plumbing ticket issued by the province of Ontario
  • Having a valid millwright, electrical, pipe fitter/welder, or power engineering ticket from the province of Ontario would be beneficial
  • Demonstrate motivation and a positive attitude
  • Have a drive for improvement
  • Exhibit strong communication and computer skills
  • Show knowledge and experience with operational processes and packaging equipment
  • Be able to work shifts as required
  • Understand and have experience with maintenance control systems for submitting work orders and tracking hours worked
