Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at Innomar Strategies. This is a part-time opportunity that requires flexibility and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications (IM, SC, and IV as applicable) in home or specialty clinic settings
- Support/monitor administration of IV infusion treatments in the clinic and/or homecare setting
- Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments as well as chart and report on all activities as directed by program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation
- Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures
- Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling, and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments, treatments, and communication of information
- Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering, and other duties as assigned
- Participate regularly in team web-based meetings/training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards
- Participates in specialized client-related trainings as required
- Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product-specific programs
- Required to travel within your designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet operational needs
- Required to follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and Work Instructions
- Required to follow all Health and Safety standards as per the provincial Health and safety Act
- Required to complete ongoing and annual education training as per the training matrix within specified timeframes
- Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by the professional associations, regulatory bodies, and the company policies and procedures
- Perform related duties and tasks as required by Innomar
- May be required to be on standby/on call to meet service needs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse
- Experience with IV therapy is an asset
- Diploma/University degree in nursing or related field
- Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certificate
- Experience in acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting
- ACLS, PALs, MS, and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets
- Knowledge of cell phone for making and confirming appointments/assignments and fax machines
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger team
- Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary
Compensation and Benefits
Our compensation package includes a competitive salary of $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and resources that enable a highly inclusive culture and support our team members' ability to live with purpose every day.
