Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care, you will provide high-quality patient care, focusing on the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.

You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant is a requirement.
  • Completion of additional education as outlined by BCCNM for practice where Mental Health and/or Substance Use are the primary diagnosis is necessary.
Essential Skills

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members.

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Deal with others in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Organize work and implement a plan of care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice, including administering medications.
  • Operate related equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Be physically able to carry out the duties of the position.
