Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Talent Coordinator to join our team at DeafBlind Ontario Services. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our workforce needs are met effectively by leading the full recruitment cycle and creating recruitment strategies based on regional characteristics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, regional job fairs, collection and screening of resumes, arrangement of venues for interviews, participation in interviews, reference checks, and letters of offer.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies in collaboration with Community Engagement Managers to acquire new talent and analyze organization's needs to anticipate hiring.
  • Maintain a pulse on recruitment trends and use appropriate channels to source and develop the pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Research and share with Managers any outreach opportunities in the community and social media channels.
  • Prepare HR dashboards and ad hoc reports, providing relevant HR metrics to management on a proactive basis to assist them in managing their workforces.
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure future needs are identified for proactive planning to manage the workforce.
  • Manage Canada Summer Jobs, including completing funding applications, communication with MP's and Service Canada Program Officers, and coordinating recruitment and ensuring all compliance documents are collected.
  • Manage the recruitment and full onboarding of volunteer and placement students.
Requirements
  • University degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a recruitment capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment and selection strategies and best practices.
  • Sound knowledge of employment, payroll, and related legislation and its application to the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively convey messaging and deliver training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to confidentially handle sensitive situations with tact, empathy, respect, and professionalism at all times.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's license, access to reliable vehicle, and the ability to travel.
