Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Order Fulfillment Specialist to join our team at The Home Depot Canada. As an Order Picker, you will play a critical role in helping us continue to grow our online business and customer relationships by taking online customer orders and picking the product ready for customer pick-up or delivery in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, organize, and verify orders for delivery or pick-up, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our warehouse operations.
- Utilize appropriate lift truck equipment to prepare customer orders, with training provided to ensure your safety and success.
- Work collaboratively with our team to support customers at our service desk, including general customer inquiries, taking customer calls, operating the cash register, and processing product returns.
- Utilize computer terminals and/or Home Depot portable phones to check inventory, look up orders, and notify customers when product is ready for pick-up.
- Plan ahead for future deliveries and streamline our process to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Requirements:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our customers.
- Computer skills required to identify product and vendor information, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Previous forklift and/or lift truck experience is an asset, but not required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills to provide exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to read delivery invoices and knowledge of store products are assets.
- Candidates should be comfortable lifting merchandise to organize for customer pick-up.
