At Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned power electronics engineer to lead the design and development of high-power converters for our data center products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power electronics, analog circuit design, and power module design.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop high-power converters for data center applications, including multi-phase buck converters, switch capacitors, and fully integrated voltage regulators.
  2. Collaborate with power integrity engineers to ensure robustness of the design and work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into product lines.
  3. Conduct power technology research and assessments to determine future trends and provide technical documents, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and progress.
  4. Manage and execute projects from concept to production, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  5. Design, test, and tune analog and digital DC-DC converters with power ranging from 500mA to 300A.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Technology, Electromagnetic Field, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  2. At least 10+ years of related technical engineering experience in power electronics, analog circuit design, power module design, and rich experience in basic circuits theory, PI simulation, testing, and analysis.
  3. Specialized in power electronics, including voltage regulator topologies, such as multi-phase Buck, Buck-Boost, LLC, switch capacitor, TLVR.
  4. Experience with DC-DC control loop tuning for stability and transient performance, linear and non-linear control.
  5. Experience with power simulation software such as SPICE, Simplis, Cadence, PowerSI, and understanding of effective PCB stack-up design.
  6. Experience with system power management validation of CPU/GPU products, data center power architecture, recent Intel/AMD chip sets is an asset.
  7. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
