Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Jacobson & Greiner Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and providing support with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements and other reports.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Provide support with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping duties, including financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and account reconciliations.
  • Month-End Closing: Assist with managing the month-end closing process, reviewing, and posting journal entries.
  • Cash Management: Assist the accounting manager in cash management and ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure the adequacy of and adherence to internal controls and accounting policies for the organization.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other accounting staff to provide support and enable the department to meet overall goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in an accounting role with direct experience in preparing monthly financial statements.
  • CPA Designation: CPA Designation or current pursuit of CPA designation is considered an asset.
  • Software Skills: Experience working with Microsoft software platform and Sage 300 and retail accounting software will be an asset.
