Medical Practitioner: Delivering Comprehensive Patient Care

Pinnacle Medical Centres is seeking a highly skilled General Medical Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care, including diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position working 40 hours per week. You will be required to work in an urban area with a private practice setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals to develop a comprehensive understanding of their health needs.
- Examine patients' health condition to identify diseases and injuries, and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness, promoting overall well-being.
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment.
- Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, ensuring holistic care.
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as necessary, while monitoring patients' responses to treatment.
- Perform and assist in routine surgery, ensuring accurate and efficient procedures.
- Deliver babies and provide pre-natal and post-natal care, providing emotional support to new parents.
- Advise patients on healthcare options, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities, maintaining accurate records.
- Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry from a recognized institution.
- Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC), licensure by provincial or territorial authorities, and completion of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II).
- Eligibility for professional liability insurance, ensuring malpractice coverage.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, requiring stamina and flexibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work under pressure, managing stressful situations with composure.
- Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
