Lifeguard Assistant

The City of Brooks is seeking a number of part-time Junior Lifeguards to join our Aquatics team at the EID Aquatic Centre.

As a Junior Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring that pool and lifeguarding duties are performed to meet user, City and regulating authority standards.

• Ensure pool safety and provide assistance to swimmers as needed
• Perform lifeguarding duties, including scanning the pool area and responding to emergencies
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
• Work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Hold a National Lifeguard Certificate, Standard First Aid Certification, and a Swim Instructor Certificate
• Ability to work well in a team environment and possess strong public relations, interpersonal, and communication skills

The wage range for this position is $18.11 - $19.21 per hour without Swim Instructor Certification or $19.79 - $20.99 per hour with Swim Instructor Certification. The successful candidate will also receive a free membership to the JBS Canada Centre during their term of employment.

A clean criminal records check will be required before an offer of employment is presented to the successful applicant (18 years of age and older).
