Sask Sport Accounting Clerk Role

This position is part of the accounting service division, responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and basic accounting functions. The successful candidate will provide professional, courteous, and efficient service to clients utilizing the accounting services provided by the Administration Centre for Sport, Culture, and Recreation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general accounting duties for client base
  • Process all types of financial transactions on a timely basis
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies and procedures and accounting standards for not-for-profits
  • Communicate with clients to collect information needed to process transactions
  • Maintain filing systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other client information
  • Report to Accounting Services Supervisor regarding process effectiveness

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or equivalent education and/or training
  • Minimum two years experience in a role demonstrating ability to perform duties required for this position

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent
  • Overtime work may be necessary during busy periods
