Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend educational conferences and workshops to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices.
  • Supervise teaching assistants and ensure they have the necessary training and support.
  • Counsel students regarding educational, career, or vocational issues and provide guidance on personal and social issues.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and community agencies to provide comprehensive support.
  • Coordinate the provision of counselling and information services to students, parents, and teachers.
  • Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude, and interest tests to help students identify their strengths and talents.
  • Refer students to other specialized services when required and ensure they receive the support they need.
  • Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, and workshops to stay informed and share knowledge.
  • Develop guidance and counselling programs to support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
  • Arrange for recruitment of graduating students by employers to help them transition into the workforce.
  • Supervise peer counselling programs and ensure they are effective in supporting students.
  • Supervise field experience for graduate students in clinical and counselling areas to help them develop their skills.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations at conferences, workshops, and symposia to share knowledge and expertise.
